I've always used this feed as a catch-all for all my podcasting activities and, lately, it's been the exclusive domain of the X-Factor podcast that I do with Scott Williams and Eric Huffman. If you're reading this and wondering why something so far from X-Wing-related content is being posted let me explain.
Andy Hopp is an extremely talented artist, illustrator, and game designer. I first became a fan of Andy's back in 2006 when he published the original Low Life setting for the Savage Worlds RPG. Within the last year or so, Andy has really kicked the Low Life product line into high gear. Within the past year or so Andy has produced two Low Life gaming products thanks to very successful Kickstarter campaigns, those being the Dementalism card game and an incredible line of Low Life metal miniatures. On Friday, May 17th Andy launched his third Kickstarter for a newly re-designed and illustrated Low Life RPG core rulebook.
Gamers responded enthusiastically and fully funded the $8000 ask within 48 hours. As of the time of this post, the campaign is just shy of $10000 and achieving its third stretch goal. There are 35 days to go and I know I'm personally hoping to see every stretch goal achieved as there are some amazing bonuses available if the funding comes in.
I recorded the enclosed interview with Andy today in the hopes of giving everyone out there a detailed outline of the Low Life RPG Kickstarter straight from the proverbial horse's mouth. If you haven't already contributed to this campaign I really hope that listening to this interview convinces you to because Andy's Low Life setting is the most original I've seen. The fact that he writes all the rules & fiction and does all the illustration and layout really makes a difference as it all comes together in one consistent, wonderful vision.
Please head on over to www.lowliferpg.info to take part in a crowd-funding campaign for a truly unique RPG book! Also make sure to regularly check out Mutha Oith Creations, Andy's main site, for updates on everything to do with Andy's creative endeavours.
Scott & Chris give their thoughts on the previews of the Wave 3 ships revealed at Fantasy Flight's Star Wars Day event on May (the) 4th, 2013. They also give an update on the final round of the first officially Team Covenant ranked X-Wing Vassal tournament.
This time on X-Factor wapcaplets and mrfroggies are joined by Kelvan Tiberius, a world championship-bound X-Wing player with some great insights on tournament play and some recent forum rulings that, if made canon, may dramatically change the way X-Wing is played.
Chris, Eric, and Scott talk about the progress of Scott's Vassal tournament, their favourite pilots (so far) from Wave 2, and answer some questions from the Sinister Minister!
This episode we welcome our Rebel Scum correspondent Scott “mrfroggies” Williams. Scott’s a masterful player of games and will be a regular on X-Factor going forward. In this episode we have a detailed discussion about the various actions in X-Wing and how we like to use them best.

This is a quick bonus episode before Eric and Chris return to the regular recording schedule. These are a few short interviews with players at the Kessel Run events that Chris attended in December.
In our last regular episode before the Death Star blows us all up, we review what forces we took to recent Kessel Run events and how they performed. Chewbacca also shows up to keep Wappy in line and we talk about Wappy’s childhood wardrobe. For reals. Also, don’t forget to go over to Team Covenant to enter their Wave 2 contest for your chance to win a ship of your choice from Wave 2! Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and HAPPY LIFE DAY, everybody!
This time on X-Factor, Wappy and E$ talk about World Championship Weekend, Fantasy Flight's League Play kits, and the upcoming Kessel Run events. So sit back, crack open a cold, smooooooth Colt 45 and enjoy! Oh, and get yourself to a Kessel Run event this weekend and win yourself a Millennium Falcon, Slave I, TIE Interceptor, or A-Wing!
In this episode, Chris & Eric get together and discuss their first impressions of the Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures Game... with a bell.
OK, this is a little ahead of schedule but I wanted to release the first episode of “X-Factor”, a podcast about Star Wars X-Wing! Eric Huffman and I have had some preliminary conversations about doing this podcast but I had an opportunity at a convention called Hammercon yesterday to interview the tournament organizer for the 100-point sanctioned X-Wing tournament that took place. Don talks about his history as a Star Wars fan, a Star Wars gamer, and his thoughts on X-Wing to date.
