Right on! Value added experience is what the friendly local gaming store is all about. Having a great gaming environment is worth more than that price difference between bricks and mortar stores and online stores.

It’s not the price difference that hurts more friendly local gaming stores, it’s the store owners in most cases.

Thanks for a great episode and keep it up.

I have to say that I have come across some really crap gaming stores in my town and very few good ones. The local gaming store at the moment is awesome. I appreciate what it does for my hobby immensely. New releases are available as soon as the are released not weeks or months later and the prices are competitive. It has games days, events, kids gaming days and a social networking that the other stores just couldn’t be bothered with. Like you, I don’t mind paying a bit extra for my products to ensure this stores longevity. Sure web stores can be more convenient and cheaper but nothing beats the atmosphere of a good gaming store and the opportunity to see and feel the products firsthand. If anyone who reads this has a great gaming store do everything you can to support it!
