When I heard about the whole Pathfinder RPG I was thinking this is a great chance for some competition with the big companies, seeing that WotC and Paizo are two of the bigger ones. Competition, in this situation looks like it's going to be a positive thing for both the companies and the consumers. The companies will be able to go for their goal with the hobby and the gamers will be able to play two high-quality, actively-supported versions of D&D.

Looks at this stage they are plusses to me and we can just watch how the whole release of 4E plays out this summer.

I agree with your assessment on what needs to happen in the industry with the release of 4th edition. I think Pathfinder offers the chance to keep people in the hobby when 3.5 is not supported anymore and 4th edition is a significant opportunity to draw new (younger) people in.

Good Episode Chris. I'm actually very excited about Pathfinder. It looks like alot of the changes people wanted made and would be a good alternative to changing to 4th edition.
