Yep, I agree, but I am a sucker for these things, if only for my RPG. If I want mass quantities of them I go to Ebay and get them there.

I just opened a pack today with a Beholder, a Hook Horror and a Dire Wolf today sweet, See the first time they had Dire Wolfs (One of the most common creatures in D&D) it was a rare. Right, it needs to be a rare. :)

Anyways, maybe one day I'll be able to try the actual game out.

I think you've hit my irritation right on the head with your description of the game. The game looks fun but what exactly is the reason a bugbear, a vampire and a beholder want to team up in the first place? I guess I am used to minis games with a more traditional team or faction base. I think that's also why I have never really given the D&D Minis game a go yet.

My preference for D&D minis is to have what I need when I need it for the roleplaying game. With the minis game being a separate, collectible game from the roleplaying game it's not very easy to get the minis I want as some end up being rares. On top of that, I would have to buy several booters until I get the quantity of a certain type needed or I would have to resort to paying higher prices on individuals on the reseller market.

I guess that makes me a game segregationist.

... Hey! You got your chocolate in my peanut butter!
