The gaming hobby lost a true pioneer today. Venerable Dungeons and Dragons pioneer Gary Gygax passed away at the age of 69. Although I never knew the man personally I pay homage to him and the hobby he helped create in today’s epiosde.

It looks like Gen Con’s in some hot water. Lucasfilm filed papers in January of 2008 asserting that Gen Con owes them $650,000, $150,000 of which represents the proceeds from a charity auction that were to go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Additional, on February 15th of 2008, Gen Con filed for Chapter 11. Are these two events related? It would seem so from my vantage-point. Here are some links:
