This time on Monster Island we're visited by Scott Williams, better known as mrfroggies, who shares his wisdom and insight in a thorough guide to WRECKING BALL.
Round 1 of the Annihilation League has seen some great match-ups so far but there is one big battle left. Spazz and his Destroyers are acting in a profoundly un-funky was and descending on Chocolate City itself (Washington DC) in an attempt to unseat Wappy from this most noble of locales. This match will be taking place on Vassal this Sunday night (July 1st) at 7PM Eastern! Give a listen to this underground radio recording by Pirate Radio DJ Sir Lollipop Man (AKA The Long-Haired Sucker) in anticipation of this monumental throwdown.
In some ways, MonCon 2012 feels like it was just yesterday and, in others, it feels like a distant memory. Until the next time this great community gets together, here's a chat that Wappy had with Steven Wooley and Robert Johnson, two Team Covenant staffers that were instrumental in putting on the best Monsterpocalypse experience one could hope for. We're still tracking down the whereabouts of Spazz's crate and he'll be back on the show very soon.
MonCon 2012 is in the books and, although it’s only been a week, feels like it’s a lifetime away in some ways already. Wappy recorded some quick vox-pop interviews with many MonCon attendees and you can hear their thoughts on the phenomenon that was MonCon 2012. Community members heard from (in order) are Spazz Fist, Tim Bunn, Tekkactus, Josh Gremillion, Steven Wooley, Israel Brenton, Gabriel Brenton, Nate Parkes, Bilal Muhammad, Eric Huffman, Jace Thomas, Mr. Froggies, and Evan Pasero. Thanks to all for sharing your thoughts and making it such a great event!
It's hard to believe that in a little more than 48 hours Spazz and wapcaplets will be boarding a plan for MonCon 2012. Spazz is already in his crate but ol' Wappy records some thoughts as we head into what is likely the end of the world as we know it.
This episode, the Gencon 2011 Double Monster Champion Bilal joins us for some silky-smooth MonPoc discussion as we continue along the road to MonCon! It's fair to say that, without Bilal, Monster Island may not have ever started because Spazz may not be with us today were it not for his selfless professionalism!
On today's show, in a bit of a role reversal, wapcaplets has the chance to speak with none other than Anglax. Also, in the Expanded Horizons segment, we talk about Quarriors and Panic Station. Finally, don't forget to enter the "Make a Monument of Yourself" contest to win a free custom CN Tower figure!

Xaxor may not have a lot of the tricks that some of those new-fangled monsters have but he's a solid monster that has a lot going for him. In my Day 2 podcast I discuss why I chose Xaxor, what his strengths are, what his weaknesses are, and how I intend to amplify his strengths. Take it to the streets!
